At Settlers Life we take seriously the company's role as a corporate citizen and our own responsibility as the People of Settlers Life to give back to our community.
With success comes certain responsibilities. We believe that to be a good citizen one must give back to the community, and seek to help those who are less fortunate. By doing so we believe we are helping to make our community a better one. We also encourage you to participate by giving to your community what you can afford in time and financial support.

Bristol Supports United Way

In support of the United Way “Week of Caring,” Settlers Life volunteers recently hosted ‘Everybody’s Birthday Party’ at the Bristol Salvation Army.
Bristol Sign Centennial
Settlers Life is a proud sponsor of the 2010 Bristol Slogan Sign Celebration. The sign marks its 100th year in 2010 as a local landmark on State Street.
Bristol United Way Campaign
As a Pacesetter from 2003-2009, Settlers Life's Bristol Office has supported the United Way through monetary contributions on an annual basis.

Abuse Alternatives

In memory of a beloved Settlers Life employee, Belinda Monroe, who lost her life in a domestic dispute, her colleagues support Abuse Alternatives and ask that you do so too.
Wellmont Medical Center Blood Drive
Bristol, Tennessee
Once each quarter the blood drive bus appears in the front parking lot, and Settlers' Bristol employees regularly donate to this worthwhile cause. "Giving blood is giving life."
America's Walk for Diabetes at the Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, TN.
As a corporate sponsor from 2003-2008, the agents and the People of Settlers Life at the Bristol Office have raised over $25,000 for the American Diabetes Association through employee fundraisers and 3 mile walks for Diabetes
American Heart Association
Bristol, Virginia
The People of Settlers Life at the Bristol Office have provided annual contributions to the American Heart Association's Queen of Hearts Fund from 2000-2008, and through the Annual Heart Walk from 2005-2007.
Rhythm and Roots Reunion Bristol 2001-2009, TN-VA
In 2001 Settlers Life was a founding member of this community musical festival celebrating Bristol, TN-VA as the "Birthplace of Country Music". The company and its people annually support the festival as an event and stage sponsor.
Downtown Bristol Criterium
Bristol, Tennessee
Settlers Life served as the Title Sponsor for the Settlers Life Downtown Bristol Criterium bicycle race from 2004 - 2008. This event, hosted by the Tri-Cities Road Club, donated 40% of all proceeds to the Bristol Area D.A.R.E. Summer Camp Program.
